Though the film has a clear and simple structure, in a historical context it is a report about nationalistic heroism \u2014 it discloses lies, reveals personal conflicts within the members of the expedition team, and dares to present a \u201cnew\u201d truth. Though the (hi)storytelling has a clear and simple structure, it keeps the suspense level high throughout the whole film.
