We are returning from @banskofilmfest energized and holding a recognition in our hands! Our film was distinguished as the “Best Bulgarian Adventure Film of 2025.”

The award was presented to director Deyan Bararev, producer Ivan Spasяov, and the participants in the film (and members of the historic 1984 Everest expedition): Kancho Dolapchiev, Kiril Doskov, and Nikolay Petkov.

The festival was a true force of nature—both in cinema and in spirit. We thank the jury for their high praise!

Special applause goes to the festival’s creator, Natalie Petrova, and her team! They do exceptional work and carry a mission that, we believe, will withstand all the challenges of time and circumstance. It was an incredible honor to be part of the event, as was meeting the audience live!
